DIRECTORATE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

The Directorate Planning and Development is responsible for:

• Implement Capital projects to promote Urban Development within the declared Settlement Areas of the region
• Develop educational infrastructure within the region
• Provide low-cost housing within the declared Settlement Areas of the region
• Promote Rural Development through implementation of various poverty eradication initiatives
• Coordinate the response programme to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB in the region
• Ensure that all government buildings/schools within the region are well maintained
